How Time Affects Your Photos

Early Morning Photoshoots
Photoshoots first thing in the morning, are some of my favorites (a close second to golden hour). With early morning shoots comes crisp and quiet air with the dreamy mist of dew. Early morning dew provides such a dreamy and romantic feel to your photos! Plus, there's nothing better than having the rest of your day to relax or run errands (while looking fabulous)!
Photos at High Noon
Having a session at noon (really anywhere from 11-2 on a sunny day (weather is a whole other beast that I will blog about)) brings its own challenges. When the sun is right above you, it can create some harsh shadows and the bright light doesn't give many options for a good full-covered shade. However, with good placement and planning, it becomes a challenge that can be easy to overcome. When the sun is unavoidable, I do have a few tricks up my sleeve to make it a breeze!
Golden Hour
Golden hour, my favorite time to take photos. And honestly, it's a lot of other photographer's favorite time of day for photos (whether or not they're willing to tell you that). Golden hour is about an hour before sunset, and it gives a beautiful golden hue to photos. This is by far the most popular time frame that clients book. Definitely a fan favorite!
Sunset
Sunset photos are always beautiful, and definitely unique per client. Every sunset is different, so each sunset photoshoot will have a different outcome. For success with a sunset session, the location has to be somewhere with a clear view of the sky. So think on top of a hill, or an open field with lots of space from a tree line, or even better.... a beach! The colors from a sunset provide such beautiful dimension and gives your photos such a romantic feeling!
No Matter What Time You Choose...
No matter what time you choose, I have an arsenal of tricks to get you beautiful photos that you will love and cherish forever. Whether it's first thing in the morning, middle of the day, or right around sunset, I've got you covered!
